Ok it was INCREDIBLY difficult to narrow down the photos I wanted to share but I simply wanted to summarise everything in ONE POST.

City Sights

DSC_0158

This was just behind our accommodation
We got a homestay room with a lovely Danish woman and her son in the Christianshavn area – a 15 min walk to the city centre. Which is where the popular shopping street, Stroget, is.. in terms of actual shopping though it’s no match for Oxford St. No match at all. Nope.

An abundance of bikes
All sorts of bikes filled the city
I like the ones that look like wheelbarrows
They use it to kart children around 😀

SEE!
Already two interesting variations of BIKE in this photo!

Me! And a ..bike

Tivoli Gardens

DSC_0205

Situated right in the city, an amazing amusement park that opened in 1843

Magic carriage of FUN!

And now I present to you..
The most AMAZING, MAGICAL RIDE

P1120709

MAGICAL is all I can say
Sitting up there looking at the city whirl around me.. it felt so much like flying!
Even more so than when I went paragliding in Austria
You could see just about the WHOLE city from up there.. and it is WAY up
Wind in my hair
The most exhilirating, blissful feeling ever

FOOD

DSC_0245

There’s this thing called the ‘traditional brunch’
Basically it’s a giant plate of all sorts of food you typically have on a weekend?
Brekkie stuff, omelettes, bacon, ham, chips, salmon, bread, fruits, yoghurt, etc etc etc

Just LOOK at it!!

We got ours from Luna Cafe – a local’s recommendation.

P1120770

A lighter version of brunch, had at a different restaurant from the first

DSC_0148

Danish pastry shop that sold GIANT STRAWBERRY/BERRY TARTS for about £10 each

DSC_0480

An assortment of herring
Apparently a very Danish thing to have
Too bad I hate fishy things

DSC_0483

Smorrebrod (open sandwich thingy) of hmm, was it lamb slices or something.. I can’t remember
All I recall is that this tasted DELISH.. the portion just needs to be umm x10 more

Christiania

P1120654 P1120661

As you can see, no photos allowed
So these are a couple that I snuck!!

Christiania is this little world of its own
It’s got its own rules, shops, radio, tv, bikes.. I dunno, even their own currency!
It’s really cool and laid back
I loved it

It’s a real pity photos weren’t allowed
Because it’s such a unique little (well it’s 85 acres big but anyway) place
So COLOURFUL and.. it’s hard to describe.. it’s got a special vibe

P1120649

Sat here and had a drink as the sun set
This was also a sneakily taken photo :s

Canal Tour

DSC_0395

Took an hour-long boat ride through the canals of Copenhagen

DSC_0453

Some kind of boat ride, cruising through what felt like FROZEN air
Still enjoyed it though
Except for the parts where the guide went on about some historical stuff

P1120693

Love these photos I took from the boat
The sky looks so whimsical

P1120694

To end this post here’s a pic I took from the plane on the way back to London

P1120777

A thick blanket of cloud
I feel like I could nearly lay on it
